contemplating jacque bauer

I recently had another Blythe move into my home. We had plans to name her Jacqueline, but she let me know right away that she prefers Jacque ( pronounced Jack) I thought it was rather masculine. Her hero is Jack Bauer from the TV show "24" and she is on the hunt around our home for "terrorists". She wanted her make-up removed so she would "blend" more easily into crowds when she is working undercover. She has demanded that I stop dressing her in such prissy clothes, and order up some combat boots and camo pants. I get the feeling we will not have too many dull days with her around!

Pipha, up to something as usual

Pipha is having a bit of anxiety over the arrival of our new girl. She is not sure if she really wants a sister at all, and she is very unsure of a red headed sister who has proclaimed her name is to be Jacque Bauer ( yeah yeah, after the character on "24"). I am planning a photo shoot with the two girls, but i have to finish their fancy dresses first.

Epiphany Rose has arrived

I have been obsessing over Blythe dolls for about 6 months now. I've been watching every blog i have bookmarked about them and spending a crazy amount of time on thisisblythe.com and ebay looking at dolls and strategizing on which girl I wanted to buy and what customizations, if any, I would attempt on my girl when she arrived. Well ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce Epiphany Rose....

She is a Madmoiselle Rosebud Blythe by Takara...I could not bring myself to pay the large sums they were asking for the Kenner (original) models. She set me back a modest $80.00 from www.faoschwarz.com. With rush shipping I made out under $100.00. I am extremely happy with her.

Its surprising how something so little can rekindle your creative spark. Pipha (as she has informed me she prefers to be called) is my new muse. I have been sewing, knitting, crocheting, and building for her since before she arrived. There is something about her (I think its the eyes) that is so compelling. I find myself wanting to dress her up every day and take pictures! I am in the process of developing some patterns which i will post later... well off to play with Pipha!
